I am looking to tutor all year levels in English, History and Accounting, and students up to
Year 10 in Mathematics and Music. I can tutor students of all academic abilities, whether
they are struggling in a subject or a high-achiever looking to excel.
I understand the need to create a welcoming, inclusive and supportive environment where
all students feel comfortable and able to learn. I am able to utilise my effective
communication skills when explaining difficult concepts to students. I strive to cater to
each student's particular learning style and come up with diverse ways to engage my
students.
As a soon-to-be university student, studying a Bachelor of Business/Bachelor of Laws
(Honours) at the Queensland University of Technology, I have flexible availability over the
school holidays, weekends, after school and evenings around my university commitments.
Experience:
I have been a paid tutor for the past two years, conducting individual and group sessions,
usually on a weekly basis. I have experience tutoring primary school and high school
students in History, English, Religion, Accounting, Mathematics, Business Studies and
Music. A number of my students have dramatically increased their academic achievement
with my help.
Qualifications:
- 2016 Dux of Our Lady's College
- First place in Year 12 Mathematics B, English, Study of Religion and Accounting
- First place in Year 12 Modern History while in Year 11
- A+ overall in English, Modern History and Study of Religion
- A overall in Mathematics B, Biology and Accounting
- A on the Queensland Core Skills Test (Compulsory test for Year 12 OP Students)
- Our Lady's College Gold Academic Excellence Medal (2012-2016)
- Experienced flute and guitar player
